Stanley Stray is a laid-back kind of stray that travels from friend to friend.  He stays for days and it's hard to get him to go away.  Stanley's friend, Pernita the Pig is too nice to ask him to leave.  What will she do?  She has many funny and clever ideas-but will they work?

S. Stray Publishing’s Annual Kidz Event, with the support and sponsorship from valuable and charitable organizations such as Wendy’s®, the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Inc., Sudz Club, Quiznos®, and Tmallcenter.com, received donations at the DoubleTree Hotel, Monroeville, that will surely help children in need in the Pittsburgh area.  Donations benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Western PA.

Chief Executive Officer of S. Stray Publishing and author of the Stanley Stray Book Series, H. A. Davis, said “I am grateful for all of the compassionate attendees and their contributions to children in need, I hope we can duplicate our success next year.” During the event, Davis signed books and greeted children with Stanley Stray at her side.  Guests in attendance enjoyed music, prizes, and a delicious fajita bar. Children of all ages loved meeting Stanley and reading about his antics in the first book of the series, Inviting Stanley Stray.  After participating in the Event for Kidz, Davis and Stanley Stray appeared at the Steel City Con, Pennsylvania’s largest toy, comic book and pop culture show.  Some of the celebrities included in this event were Karyn Parsons (“The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”), Michael Dorn (Worf from “Star Trek”) Tom Savini (“Dawn of the Dead”), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca from “Star Wars”), and Linda Blair.  At the Steel City Con, Stanley Stray joined children in a coloring contest, based on the Stanley Stray book series.  The winner of the contest, Jacqueline Foran, from Washington, PA, received a prize of one hundred dollars and other gifts!

In 2018, Inviting Stanley Stray, The Musical Play, will begin performances across the country.  “If you love the book, you will really love the musical play, because it will bring the story to life in front of your eyes, along with added surprises and story lines.”, said Davis.  The first performance of the musical play will take place in the summer of 2018, beginning in Pittsburgh, PA.
